Spring Awakening at McLaughlin Lavender: New Growth, New Beginnings 🌱💜
Spring has officially arrived, and with it, a fresh wave of energy and possibility here at McLaughlin Lavender. The fields are slowly waking up from their winter slumber, and we've been hard at work preparing for a vibrant season ahead!
One of the most exciting moments this spring was a special visit to Crockett Road Lavender Farm, where we were lucky enough to gather over 1,000 lavender cuttings—a truly generous gift from our mentors and an incredible step in growing our future. These cuttings have now been lovingly planted and are settling into their new home at our farm, where we’ll be nurturing them into strong, beautiful plants.
Every day, the fields grow greener, and the tender new shoots remind us of the resilience and beauty that comes with each new season. Watching these young plants take root is a true labor of love and symbolizes the deep connection between mentorship, community, and growth that defines our farm's spirit.
We’re thrilled to share that many of these plants will be available for sale this season, both right here on the farm and at The Dalles Farmers Market! We are even hosting the Mother's Day Spring Market on here on the farm, with a lavender plant sale! Whether you're adding a few lavender plants to your home garden or simply love the scent of fresh blooms, we can’t wait to offer you a piece of McLaughlin Lavender to take home.
Beyond the fields, the farm is buzzing with preparation. Garden beds are being prepped for a colorful summer, new seasonal products are in the works, and the air is filled with excitement. Spring has been a season of planning, planting, and dreaming—and it’s all for the purpose of creating something truly special for our visitors and community.
And that’s not all—we’ve got a big surprise in the works! While we’re not quite ready to spill the beans just yet, we promise it’s something close to our hearts, designed to bring even more connection, joy, and lavender magic to McLaughlin Lavender. We’ve been dreaming, planning, and preparing behind the scenes, and we’re counting down the days until we can tell you all about it. ✨
