🌾 Not Your Traditional Row Farmers

🌾 Not Your Traditional Row Farmers

Lately, I’ve been sitting with a truth that feels more like a declaration:

We’re not traditional row farmers — and that’s something to lean into, not shy away from.

The dream we’re building isn’t neat lines and grid patterns. It’s not flat rows of perfectly planted crops you pass by on your way to somewhere else. No — it’s a natural adventure. A winding, wild, immersive experience that’s begging you to explore, be in the moment, slow down, and have the permission to just be.

We imagine a farm that doesn’t just grow things — it grows moments and encourages kindness with its beauty.

🌿 The Loop

Picture this: A path that meanders gently through the lower half of the land, not because it has to — but because it wants to. You follow it through clearings and oak groves, each space with its own story and mood.

Each space blooms with its own palette of colors, carries its own scents, stirs up different feelings, and maybe even unlocks long-lost memories.

  • One clearing may be filled with the bright cheer of calendula and echinacea — a sunset of golden yellow and deep magenta.

  • Another might be all soft purples and silvers, where many colors of lavender and different types of sage whisper you into stillness.

  • Then there's a nook where the air smells like mint and rain on leaves, evoking childhood summers, bare feet, and lemonade on the porch.

You’ll walk through these moments, one after another — guided by scent, color, and emotion.

And then maybe you find a bench.

Maybe you sit.

Maybe your shoulders relax, your breath slows, and you breathe a little deeper.

🌸 Let the Land Be

A friend told me about forest bathing some time ago, and my husband got me a book on it. In Japan, doctors actually prescribe time in nature to help with anxiety, depression and other ailments. Ever since, I’ve been amazed by that concept — not just seeing the forest as a whole, but noticing the trees, the moss, the wild yarrow and lupine beneath your feet, the smell of fresh air, bird chirping, a blue sky with mountains in the distance. The concept of forest bathing is to notice everything around you, to be fully present, and not be on a mission to get to the end. The more you practice it, the easier it becomes. Then you start to notice when you do not forest bathe, and you know your soul is craving it, craving for the peace.

My soul craves natural beauty — not in a controlled or manicured sense, but in the way the earth wants to express itself. To be wild and free, to be given the opportunity, to just be.

I'm learning to let the land lead. To work with it instead of against it. To build upon what already feels sacred.

Our future farm and dream come true won’t be just about crops to harvest. It’s about healing. About creating a rhythm where nature, people, and purpose meet. A farm that uses natural and regenerative practices to grow and take care of the land in the best way possible for this earth, the animals, pollinators, and plants.

🐝 Not Just a Garden — A Story

Every plant along the loop is there on purpose — not just for how it grows, but for what it says.
To the bees and pollinators.
To the animals.
To the earth.
To our hearts.

We believe in weaving together:

  • Lavender and lemon balm for calm.

  • Wildflowers for the butterflies.

  • Medicinal herbs for remembering how plants once healed us.

  • Paths not paved, but softened — so even a wheelchair can roll through natural wonder.

It will be a farm, yes. But also a walk. A hike, a stroll. A sanctuary. A slow unfolding.
A dream slowly coming to life.

Thanks for dreaming with us.
